Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Brown Sugar Icing:

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a donut pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the dry ingredients. In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients until combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until combined.
  4. Spoon the batter into the donut pan or use a ziploc bag to pipe the batter.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes, then cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. For the glaze, warm butter, brown sugar, and milk in a saucepan. Add vanilla and powdered sugar, whisk until smooth.
  7. Dip the donuts in the glaze and let set on a wire rack.
  8. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • You can also sprinkle chopped nuts or sprinkles on top of the glaze for extra decoration.
  • These donuts are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored for a few days.
