Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 1 package Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 count)
  • 2 cups diced turkey
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce or relish
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese (or favorite cheese)

Glaze

  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp dried minced onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Dried parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking your sliders.
  2. Prepare Baking Pan: Cover a 9×13 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and spray it lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Prepare Rolls: Remove the Hawaiian sweet rolls from the package in one piece to keep them together.
  4. Slice Rolls: Carefully slice the entire slab of rolls in half lengthwise, creating one slab of tops and one slab of bottoms.
  5. Build Sliders Layer: Place the bottom slab of rolls into the prepared baking pan, then evenly layer diced turkey, cranberry sauce (warm slightly if needed for spreading), and Swiss cheese on top.
  6. Add Top Layer: Place the top slab of rolls carefully over the layered ingredients to form the slider sandwich.
  7. Make Glaze: Melt the butter in the microwave, then whisk in yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, dried minced onion, salt, and pepper until combined.
  8. Apply Glaze: Pour the prepared glaze evenly over the top of the rolls, allowing it to soak in for flavor.
  9. Rest Covered: Cover the pan with aluminum foil and let the assembled sliders sit for 5 to 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  10. Bake Covered: Bake the covered sliders in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  11. Uncover and Finish Baking: Remove the foil and bake the sliders uncovered for an additional 5 minutes to brown the tops.
  12. Optional Garnish: Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese and dried parsley over the top, if desired.
  13. Serve: Slice the sliders into individual portions and serve warm for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • Warming the cranberry sauce briefly makes it easier to spread on the rolls.
  • Use your favorite type of cheese if Swiss is not preferred.
  • Parmesan cheese and parsley garnish add extra flavor and color but are optional.
  • For a more savory twist, you can add a little garlic powder or smoked paprika to the butter glaze.
  • Leftover sliders can be stored covered in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven for best results.
