The Best Lychee Iced Tea Recipe

Green Tea Base:
- 8 cups water
- 1 cup honey
- 10 green tea bags (or 10 tablespoons loose leaf green tea)
Lychee Puree:
- 15 ounces lychees in syrup (about 20 lychees)
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 lime
Additional:
- ice (and/or frozen lychees)
- fresh mint (optional garnish)
- lemon slices (optional garnish)
- lime slices (optional garnish)
- Add honey and four cups of water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, add green tea bags, and steep for three minutes. Remove tea bags and skim off foam.
- Pour in remaining water and let the tea cool for at least 10 minutes.
- In a blender, combine lychees, lychee syrup, lemon juice, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the lychee puree and cooled green tea into a pitcher. Chill in the fridge for at least two hours.
- Stir the chilled tea and serve with ice, lychee fruits, lemon and lime slices, and mint if desired.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- For a stronger tea flavor, steep the green tea longer.
