Indulge in a refreshing and delightful Strawberry Milk treat made with a homemade strawberry syrup. This sweet and fruity beverage is perfect for any time of the day!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Strawberry Syrup:

  • 3 cups sliced strawberries (fresh or frozen) (I used one 16-oz bag frozen sliced strawberries)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅔ cup water

For Serving:

  • milk (preferably whole or 2%; non-dairy milk can be substituted)
  • whipped cream (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the syrup: Place the strawberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
  2. Drain the syrup: Set a fine mesh strainer over a bowl, pour the strawberry mixture through it. Press the strawberries against the strainer to extract juice/syrup. Chill the syrup.
  3. Assemble: Pour ¾ cup milk into a glass, add syrup to taste (about 3-4 tablespoons). Stir and serve.
