A decadent and easy-to-make Oreo Cheese Ball, combining crushed Oreo cookies with creamy cream cheese, shaped into a delightful dessert ball coated with white chocolate chips. Perfect for serving with Nilla Wafers or graham crackers at parties or as a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese Ball

  • 14 ounce package Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature

Coating

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Serving

  • Nilla Wafers or graham crackers

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Add the Oreo cookies to a food processor or blender and process until you have fine crumbs, ensuring there are no large chunks left.
  2. Mix with cream cheese: Add the 8 ounces of room temperature cream cheese to the processed Oreo crumbs and continue to blitz until the mixture is smooth and uniform in texture.
  3. Shape the mixture: Lay a sheet of plastic wrap on your counter, scoop the Oreo and cream cheese mixture into the center, and then use the plastic wrap to shape it into a compact ball.
  4. Chill the ball: Refrigerate the shaped Oreo ball for two hours to allow it to firm up and hold its shape well for serving.
  5. Coat with white chocolate chips: After chilling, roll the Oreo ball in white chocolate chips, pressing gently to ensure they stick evenly all around the outside.
  6. Serve: Present the coated Oreo cheese ball with Nilla wafers or graham crackers for dipping and enjoy as a sweet appetizer or dessert.

Notes

  • Room temperature cream cheese ensures easier blending and a smoother texture.
  • For a different coating, try rolling the cheese ball in crushed nuts or mini chocolate chips.
  • The cheese ball can be made a day ahead and kept refrigerated tightly wrapped in plastic wrap.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, place the Oreo cookies in a ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin, then mix by hand with the cream cheese.
  • White chocolate chips can be substituted with milk or dark chocolate chips based on preference.
