Brownie Batter:

  • 1/3 cup (5 Tablespoons; 71g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (100g) packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 and 1/4 cups (370g) Nutella, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup (94g) all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled)
  • optional: 3/4 cup (135g) semi-sweet chocolate chips; a sprinkle of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line the baking pan.
  2. Mix Batter: Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, vanilla, Nutella, salt, and flour. Add chocolate chips if desired.
  3. Pour and Swirl: Pour batter into pan, drop spoonfuls of Nutella, swirl with a knife, sprinkle sea salt.
  4. Bake: Bake for 32-36 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  5. Cool and Serve: Cool in the pan, then cut into squares. Top with sea salt if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra indulgence, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
