  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Grease a 9-inch square pan. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla; mix in oats. Cook until well blended, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Layer the Base: Press half of the oat mixture into the pan. Reserve the rest for the topping.
  3. Make the Chocolate Layer: Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in a saucepan over low heat until smooth. Spread over the oat base.
  4. Top with Remaining Oat Mixture: Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate layer. Press gently.
  5. Chill and Serve: Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours or overnight. Bring to room temperature before cutting into bars.
