Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples: Place the diced apple in a microwave-safe bowl or container. Add lemon juice, 1 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, a pinch of nutmeg, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir to coat the apples evenly.
  2. Divide if needed: If making two servings, mix the diced apples with sugar, cornstarch, spices, and lemon juice in a bowl, then divide evenly into two ramekins or microwave-safe containers.
  3. Microwave apples: Microwave on high for 2 minutes to soften the apples, allowing the flavors to meld.
