  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls (12-count)
  • ½ cup salted butter (4 ounces, room temperature)
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar (105 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (8 grams)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (5 grams)

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar (130 grams)
  • 2 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (3 grams)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Heat the oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet or 9×13′ baking dish with aluminum foil and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. Slice the Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls horizontally without separating them, creating top and bottom slabs.
  3. Prepare Cinnamon Butter: Mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Assemble the Rolls: Place bottom rolls in the dish, spread ¾ of the cinnamon butter, add the top slab, and spread the remaining butter.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden.
  6. Make the Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, softened butter, heavy cream, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Glaze and Serve: Spread the glaze over warm rolls once out of the oven and serve warm.
