A quick and easy one-pot recipe for delicious Garlic Parmesan Pasta that is creamy and flavorful. This dish is perfect for a busy weeknight dinner or a cozy weekend meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Parmesan Cheese:

  • ½ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

Butter:

  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)

Garlic:

  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced

Liquid:

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk

Others:

  • 8 oz. angel hair pasta
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Note: Angel hair cooks very quickly. Refer to the time on the package and set a timer to avoid overcooking it in the sauce in step 6, as overcooked noodles become clumpy.
  2. Grate Parmesan Cheese: Grate the Parmesan cheese and set it aside to allow it to reach room temperature.
  3. Melt Butter: Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat in a large skillet.
  4. Cook Garlic: Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add Liquid: Add the chicken broth and optional seasoning mix. Slowly add the milk while stirring. Bring to a boil.
  6. Add Pasta: Add the pasta noodles, breaking them in half if needed. Let it simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Reduce heat to low.
  7. Finish Pasta: Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the pasta and toss to coat. Gradually sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth and well-combined.
  8. Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and enjoy with Garlic Bread with Cheese!

Notes

  • For a twist, add cooked chicken or shrimp for protein.
  • Adjust the amount of Parmesan cheese to suit your taste preferences.
  • Feel free to sprinkle some red pepper flakes for a hint of spice.
