Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Ingredients

  • 12 oz white chocolate chips
  • 1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow fluff
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, with extra for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Dish: Line a square baking dish with aluminum foil, making sure the foil covers all sides. Grease the foil using butter or non-stick spray to prevent the fudge from sticking during cooling.
  2. Heat Butter, Sugar, and Eggnog: In a large saucepan, combine the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and eggnog. Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and stir frequently until the mixture boils. Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture reaches a temperature of 234º F, measured accurately with a candy thermometer.
  3. Melt the White Chocolate Chips: Remove the saucepan from the heat as soon as the temperature is reached. Immediately stir in the white chocolate chips until they have completely melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  4. Add Marshmallow Creme, Vanilla, and Nutmeg: Quickly incorporate the marshmallow fluff, vanilla extract, and nutmeg into the chocolate mixture. Stir continuously to ensure everything is well combined and the fudge mixture becomes thick and uniform.
  5. Transfer and Cool the Fudge: Pour the thick fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth the surface evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle a light dusting of nutmeg on top for decoration if desired. Allow the fudge to cool completely and set firmly at room temperature. Once set, lift the fudge out of the dish using the foil, cut it into squares, and serve.

Notes

  • Use a candy thermometer for precise temperature during cooking to ensure perfect fudge consistency.
  • Make sure to stir continuously when heating to prevent burning or sticking.
  • If desired, gently toast the nutmeg before sprinkling to enhance its flavor.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
  • For a firmer fudge, refrigerate after cooling completely, but bring to room temperature before serving for the best texture.
