Bacon:

  • 2 tsp minced garlic

Cream Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream or half and half
  • ⅓ cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Cook Bacon: In a large cast iron skillet, cook bacon until browned and crisp. Remove bacon to a paper towel lined plate.
  3. Sear Brussels Sprouts: Add Brussels sprouts to the skillet with bacon grease, season with salt and pepper, and cook until lightly charred. Stir in minced garlic.
  4. Make Cream Sauce: Remove Brussels sprouts from the pan. Melt butter, whisk in flour, then gradually add heavy cream. Stir in parmesan cheese until smooth.
  5. Combine and Bake: Add Brussels sprouts and bacon back to the pan with the cream sauce. Top with mozzarella cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
