Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoons salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • ½ cup butter (softened (1 stick))
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 egg (large)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

Chocolate Chips:

  • 4.5 ounces mini chocolate chips (3/4 cup)
  • 1.5 ounces mini chocolate chips (1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Get prepped – Heat the oven to 350°F and grease/flour a loaf pan.
  2. Make the Batter – In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Add the flour mixture and milk to the batter (alternated adding and mixing) until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Bake – Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 50 – 55 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the middle should come out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove to a wire rack and allow to cool completely before slicing.
