Slider Assembly
- 12 slider buns
- 12 frozen chicken patties
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Butter Mixture
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Bake Chicken Patties: Place the frozen chicken patties on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy. Remove them from the oven and transfer to a plate.
- Assemble Sliders: Arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns on the baking sheet. Place one chicken patty on each bun, then spoon 1-2 tablespoons of marinara sauce over each patty. Sprinkle each with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, then top with the top half of the buns.
- Prepare Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and onion powder. Stir to blend all ingredients evenly.
- Apply Butter Mixture: Pour the seasoned butter mixture evenly over the assembled sliders, allowing the butter to drip down into the buns for added flavor and browning.
- Bake Sliders: Return the sliders to the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns are golden brown. Check around 15 minutes; if buns are already browned, cover with foil and continue baking for the remaining time to fully melt the cheese and warm the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves just before serving to add a bright, herbaceous finish.
Notes
- You can substitute fresh chicken cutlets for the frozen patties, adjusting the baking time accordingly.
- If you prefer spicier sliders, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the butter mixture or marinara sauce.
- For a crispier bottom bun, toast them lightly before assembly.
- These sliders can be assembled ahead and refrigerated before baking; just add a few extra minutes to baking time when cooking from cold.
