Cheesy Hawaiian Roll Garlic Bread is a deliciously soft and flavorful appetizer or side dish featuring sweet Hawaiian rolls stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese, topped with a savory garlic parsley butter, and baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Rolls

  • 1216 count Hawaiian rolls (each with 2 slits cut halfway through the top)

Seasoned Butter

  • 1 stick salted butter (softened)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (washed thoroughly)
  • 2 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Cheese Stuffing

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Rolls: Cut 2 slits halfway through the top of each Hawaiian roll to create spaces for the cheese stuffing.
  2. Stuff the Rolls: Place the rolls into a buttered 9×13″ baking dish. Stuff the slits generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, whisk together softened salted butter, chopped fresh parsley, minced garlic, and grated Parmesan cheese until evenly combined.
  4. Apply the Butter: Spread the seasoned garlic butter evenly over the tops of the cheese-stuffed rolls, making sure to cover all exposed dough.
  5. Bake: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the rolls for 9-11 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls turn golden brown on top.
  6. Serve: Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy, garlicky goodness!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle some red pepper flakes over the butter before baking.
  • You can substitute mozzarella with provolone or cheddar cheese for a different taste.
  • Make sure butter is softened to ensure easy mixing and spreading.
  • Use fresh garlic for best flavor; garlic powder can be used in a pinch.
  • Serve as a side dish to pasta, salads, or soups.
