Topping:
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Cake:
- 4 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 Eggs – large
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 cups Cake Flour * – spooned and leveled, see note
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Cardamom
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 16 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter – softened to room temperature
- Make the Topping – In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, ground cardamom, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
- Make the Cake – Preheat oven, prepare pan, mix wet ingredients, whisk dry ingredients, combine with butter, mix, pour into pan, add topping, bake until set, and cool before serving.
