Egg:

  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil (toasted)
  • 1 tbsp regular soy sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 1 tbsp green onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp vegetable oil (or any neutral oil)

Optional Toppings:

  • kimchi, canned tuna, roasted seaweed flakes, avocado, sauteed carrots/spinach/zucchini, or more protein

Instructions

  1. Mix Rice: Combine hot cooked rice with butter until well mixed. Transfer to a large bowl.
  2. Prepare Egg: Fry the egg in vegetable oil to your desired doneness.
  3. Assemble Dish: Place the fried egg over the rice. Add sesame seeds, sesame oil, green onions, and soy sauce.
